Auspicing is when a group or individual undertaking a project (the auspicee) is supported by an incorporated organisation (the auspicor). It is often used because incorporated organisations may find it easier to take on funding. The auspicor may receive funding or enter into relevant agreements on behalf of the auspicee. Common auspicing arrangements include one-off events, program trials, competitions, and youth projects.
